Interim School PrincipalKurn Hattin Home and School for Children a residential school serving children in grades K8 on a 280-acre campus in Westminster VT seeks a passionate highly skilled and collaborative Interim Principal to provide steady leadership and clear vision during a transitional Interim Principal will foster a safe supportive and academically rigorous school environment in which every student is empowered to reach their full potential. This leader will work closely with faculty and staff to maintain program continuity support instructional excellence and strengthen a culture grounded in inclusion engagement and high ResponsibilitiesProvide stable mission-aligned leadership for the K8 programSupport and coach faculty in effective instructional practicesGuide authentic and inclusive curriculum implementationOversee assessment practices and promote data-informed decision-makingEnsure effective integration of instructional technology including STEAM SmartLabPromote a positive school culture that motivates students and staffPartner collaboratively with residential staff and the broader school communityQualificationsMinimum of three (3) years of school leadership experienceDemonstrated success in fostering student growth and staff developmentStrong knowledge of assessment methodologies and instructional best practicesExperience supporting inclusive and diverse learning environmentsVermont State Principal Certification preferredMasters Degree in Education preferredThe ideal candidate is a steady thoughtful leader who inspires confidence builds trust quickly and shares our commitment to helping every child believe they can make a difference in the world.
