Job Title: FLT Driver
Location: Brackmills Northampton
Salary:(depending on experience)
Hours: Monday Friday 07:00 15:30
Breaks: 45-minute lunch plus two 15-minute breaks
Overview:
We are currently recruiting for an experienced FLT Driver to join a well-established operation based in Brackmills Northampton. This is a full-time permanent opportunity within a busy warehouse environment offering consistent daytime hours and a supportive team culture. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth movement of goods across the site while maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating a Counterbalance and/or Reach Truck safely and efficiently
- Loading and unloading vehicles in line with company procedures
- Moving stock within the warehouse and accurately placing goods into racking locations
- Picking packing and preparing orders for dispatch where required
- Conducting routine equipment checks and reporting any faults
- Maintaining accurate stock control through scanning systems or paperwork
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety policies at all times
- Supporting general warehouse duties as required
The Ideal Candidate:
- Holds a valid and in-date FLT licence (Counterbalance and/or Reach)
- Previous experience working in a warehouse or distribution environment
- Strong understanding of health and safety procedures
- Reliable punctual and able to work as part of a team
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Physically fit and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Desirable:
- Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Previous experience working within a high-volume logistics operation
- Flexibility to support overtime during peak periods
