Job Description Summary
The Project Director (PD) has the responsibility to deliver the project(s) under the regional P&L for GE Vernova Hydro Business in support of the project core team members and reporting to the Regional Projects Leader.

Roles and Responsibilities
In this position the PD will drive and track Project Execution and all necessary enabling activities required for Project delivery in close collaboration with all partners involved in such activities for the project. The role requires interaction with senior management within the customer organization as well as partner and all functional levels in order to develop a profitable project.
This includes:
Complete accountability for execution of the project activities
Track Project progress and reports out to customer on a regular basis
Represent GEV/Consortium in the Project meetings under the leadership of Customer
Controls & monitors project KPIs such as margin cash flow on time delivery & risk management
Based at site during installation period as and when required
Required Qualifications/Criteria:
Bachelors degree or higher in Engineering from an accredited university or college preferably with further education in business management
Overall around 10 years of relevant experience in Project Management specifically to Hydro Power along with a proven experience of large sized power plant projects.
Candidate must be willing to relocate to Malaysia
Desired Characteristics:
Fluent verbal and written communication skills in the English language
Experience managing large EPC/turnkey power plant projects
Experience managing large Consortium power plant project
Familiarity with international design codes and the requirements and obligations under FIDIC contract conditions (or similar);
Strong self-directed collaborative team player with interpersonal communication and presentation skills
Experience in leading cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives
Ability to prioritize and set challenging but realistic project schedules.
Membership of a professional engineering institution
