WHO WE LOOK FOR

Were looking for a Junior Data Analytics Engineer to join our Data team and help us build and improve the analytics layer of our data platform.

Every day our systems generate millions of events from users across the globe. You will help transform this raw data into reliable well-structured datasets that support decision-making across Shopfully.

This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who is passionate about data enjoys solving problems and wants to grow at the intersection of data engineering and analytics. You will work closely with experienced Analytics Engineers Data Analysts and Data Scientists learning how to design scalable data models and build trusted data assets for the company.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Support the development and maintenance of data models in our data warehouse (e.g. using dbt).
• Write SQL queries and transformations to help prepare data for analytics and reporting.
• Help ensure data quality by contributing to tests validations and documentation.
• Collaborate with Data Analysts and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into data solutions.
• Assist in maintaining and improving existing data pipelines and datasets.
• Learn and apply best practices in data modeling testing and documentation.
• Contribute to improving the accessibility and usability of data across the organization.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering Mathematics Statistics or a related field.
• Solid understanding of SQL (academic or internship experience).
• Basic knowledge of data modeling or relational database concepts.
• Some experience with Python or another programming language.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to learn modern data stack tools (e.g. dbt cloud data warehouses).
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.

NICE TO HAVE

• Internship or academic project involving data transformation or analytics.
• Familiarity with dbt data warehouses or BI tools.
• Exposure to product analytics or digital platforms.
• Interest in data quality and testing practices.
