This teacher would be the 7th grade Homeroom teacher in addition to teaching Math in 5th-8th grades. Qualifications/Requirements:
- All teachers in the Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese of Detroit shall be certified and /or approved for teaching by the Department of Education for the State of Michigan.
- All teachers are required to hold the appropriate endorsement for the subject(s) they are assigned to teach.
- All teachers who are catechist (teachers of religion) must be certified by the Department of Evangelization Catechesis and Schools.
Every teacher is a member of the professional staff with responsibilities in the areas of: instruction curriculum development classroom management student/parent relations faith life and community relations. Candidates should possess the following skills and classroom practices: - Modeling and facilitating daily prayer in the classroom along with active participation/planning of school liturgies and prayer services
- Establishment of a classroom environment that develops the spiritual academic social and emotional growth of all children
- Integrates technology as a tool for learning and instruction
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- A willingness for collaboration
- Management of a safe and nurturing environment
- Development of relationships with parents to encourage communication regarding their childs growth and development
- Develop lesson plans to promote spiritual academic physical social and emotional growth
- Completion of Protecting Gods Children training Fingerprinting and Background Check
- Must be certified by the Department of Evangelization Catechesis and Schools or working towards certification
