Position Description:

As a member of the Data Analytics team you will focus on solving critical company problems helping internal departments make intelligent choices and advanced insights into the business. We are seeking a seasoned AI/ML Solutions Architect with a unique blend of experience in managing both business programs and data science teams. This individual will act as the linchpin between our business units and the data science team ensuring seamless integration of business requirements with advanced analytical solutions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving business value through the strategic application of AI/ML technologies combined with exceptional skills in stakeholder management solution design and project execution. This individual will be responsible for understanding business requirements identifying opportunities for applying AI/ML technologies and designing solutions that leverage advanced analytics to drive business value.

Essential Functions:

  • Business Requirement Gathering:
    • Engage with stakeholders across various business units to gather understand and document their analytical needs and challenges.
    • Conduct workshops and meetings to elicit requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Solution Mapping and Design:
    • Evaluate and identify the most suitable AI/ML models and technologies that align with business requirements.
    • Propose and design analytics solutions ensuring they are feasible scalable and aligned with business objectives.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with data scientists data engineers and IT teams to ensure the successful implementation of AI/ML solutions.
    • Communicate complex technical concepts and the potential impact of AI/ML solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Project Management:
    • Manage project timelines resources and deliverables to ensure the timely and successful deployment of AI/ML solutions.
    • Provide regular updates to stakeholders and ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Oversee the validation and testing of AI/ML models to ensure they meet business requirements and performance standards.
  • Technology Awareness:
    • Stay informed about the latest developments in AI/ML technologies and industry best practices.
    • Assess new tools and technologies for potential application within the organization.

Required Qualifications (one of the following):

  • Bachelors Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.
  • In lieu of a degree minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Bachelors or masters degree in data science Computer Science Mathematics Engineering or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in data science advanced analytics data analysis or related role.
  • Strong knowledge of AI/ML capabilities and common models (e.g. regression classification clustering deep learning).
  • Proven experience in requirement gathering solution design and project management.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing business challenges.
  • Experience with programming languages and tools commonly used in AI/ML workflows (e.g. Python R SQL).
  • Coding experience with C# Visual JavaScript XML HTML CSS is a plus but not required
  • Knowledge of ANSI SQL and how to manipulate and retrieve data
  • Experience with cloud-based AI/ML platforms (e.g. AWS bedrock Azure Foundry etc.).
  • Open-source AI/ML solutions (various)
  • Experience with Agile software development (i.e. Jira and Confluence)
  • Experience in a government industry or a related regulated sector.
  • Certifications in data science project management or business analysis.
