Job Description:

Johnson & Johnson is currently recruiting for a Senior Manager Risk & Reliability to join our Vision Care team in Jacksonville Florida.

Learn more at the direction of the Director of Strategic Reliability this position will lead Rapid Response Teams (RRTs) to prevent and/or remediate major supply chain disruptions requiring cross-functional coordination. This position drives rapid remediation of issues across all JJ Vision Care sites and External Manufacturers to avoid and/or minimize impacts to customer service. This position is also responsible to lead the Risk & Resilience Program across Vision Care to proactively identify major treats to the business and work on mitigation action plans.

Responsibilities include:

  • Initiate and lead Rapid Response Teams composed of cross-functional SMEs including Technical Operations Source Quality Planning Regulatory Manufacturing Engineering and other related functions; driving accountability across functions at different levels to enable timely and flawless execution of mitigation actions.

  • Lead the Resilience assessment across Vision Care and cross functional partners.

  • Lead the LTEM (Long Term Escalation Management) process to define priorities allocate funding and assure execution of the mitigations identified on the Resilience assessment.

  • Drives a robust communication and escalation process partnering with the cross functional team for internal communications including senior leaders and commercial partners via the Global E2E Reliability Hub and STEM (Short Term Escalation Management) process.

  • Partner with the Director of Strategic Reliability in leading the Global E2E Reliability Hub meeting agenda and content.

  • Drives decisions among stakeholders to determine the most appropriate course of action using available data assessing risks and adequately justifying actions using sound business logic.

  • Holds team accountable for identifying root causes and implementing effective corrective actions.

  • Builds strong interdependent partnerships with key stakeholders to address issues manage conflicts and to request support on mitigation strategies.

  • Challenges the status-quo identifies trends and systemic issues across products where possible apply lessons learned to make improvements.

  • Partner with Value Stream Leaders on lessons learned to initiate discussions on investments for capability building.

  • Be the focal point and Vision Care Resilience champion connecting with the Enterprise Resilience Team in order to share and deploy best practices.

  • May potentially lead other long term projects.

Experience and Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum of a Bachelors Degree or Equivalent

  • Demonstrated experience (typically 4 years) leading complex cross-functional projects or programs with clear governance accountability and successful delivery.

  • Strong project management capability including prioritization risk assessment issue escalation and effective decision support.

  • Excellent communication skills with proven ability to manage upwards to senior leaders and translate complex issues into clear recommendations.

  • Experience participating in or leading issue resolution operational disruptions or structured problem-solving activities.

  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced high-pressure environments and facilitate alignment across diverse stakeholders.

  • Proven ability to influence without authority and build strong collaborative relationships.

Preferred:

  • Experience in highly regulated or complex industries (e.g. medical device pharmaceutical consumer goods aerospace automotive semiconductor).

  • Understanding of end-to-end supply chain operations including manufacturing quality planning or external manufacturing.

  • Experience with RCA CAPA or systemic root-cause problem solving.

  • Familiarity with risk management resilience or business continuity programs.

  • Experience working in matrixed or cross-cultural environments and virtually.

Reporting Structure:
This is a program leadership role with no direct reports. The role reports to the Director Strategic Reliability and leads cross-functional rapid response and risk mitigation teams through influence.
