Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Operate monitor and maintain boilers HVAC systems and other mechanical equipment.
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on boilers and auxiliary systems.
Troubleshoot and repair boiler malfunctions including pumps valves burners and controls.
Monitor system performance pressure levels and temperature controls to ensure efficiency.
Conduct water treatment and chemical testing to maintain boiler water quality.
Maintain accurate logs and records of maintenance activities repairs and inspections.
Ensure compliance with local state and federal safety regulations regarding boiler operations.
Collaborate with facility management and maintenance personnel to support overall building operations.
Follow all safety protocols and standard operating procedures to minimize risks.
Minimum Qualifications
3 years of experience working with boilers steam systems and HVAC equipment.
Strong understanding of mechanical electrical and plumbing systems.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints schematics and technical manuals.
Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing boiler components and related equipment.
Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and industry best practices.
Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Flexibility to work shifts including nights weekends and holidays as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Technical or trade school certification in boiler operations or related field.
State or city boiler operators license.
Experience with high-pressure steam systems and water treatment.
Knowledge of energy efficiency practices for boiler systems.
