Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

Analyze and Migrate:

Actively participate in the analysis of existing interfaces on SAP PO and collaborate with the integration team to design and re-platform them onto SAP CPI.

ABAP Development for Integration:

Design develop test and deploy robust and scalable OData services (both standard and custom) to expose business data for CPI consumption.

Develop and maintain SOAP-based ABAP Web Services and ABAP Proxies (Client & Server) for synchronous and asynchronous communication scenarios.

Create and modify ABAP programs for complex file-based integrations (e.g. reading/writing files from AL11 FTP/SFTP) and ensure they align with new CPI patterns.

Enhancements and Customizations:

Implement custom logic using BAdIs User Exits and the Enhancement Framework to support new integration requirements without modifying standard SAP code.

Troubleshooting and Debugging:

Perform in-depth debugging of standard and custom SAP programs reports and function modules to troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues during development testing and post-go-live support.

Collaboration:

Work closely with functional consultants (FI SD MM) CPI developers and business stakeholders to understand requirements define technical specifications and deliver end-to-end solutions.

Code Quality and Documentation:

Adhere to best practices and coding standards perform code reviews and create comprehensive technical documentation for all developed objects.

Performance Tuning: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in custom ABAP code to ensure optimal system response times for integrated processes.

Required Skills and Experience (Must-Haves)

Overall Experience: 5-6 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development.
