Job Summary
Position Description:
The mandate consists of contributing to the design build and evolution of an innovative data platform within a dynamic environment. The role involves creating robust ELT pipelines collaborating with various development teams implementing highperformance transformations and ensuring data quality and availability to support analysts and data scientists. The consultant will take part in stimulating projects that directly influence the organizations transformation and strengthen its analytics leadership.
Responsibilities
- Design implement test and support robust ELT data pipelines.
- Coordinate with multiple development teams to achieve delivery objectives.
- Support requirements definition estimation development and delivery of scalable and robust solutions.
- Design implement test and support highperforming transformations to deliver clean data to analysts and data scientists.
- Implement data quality controls.
- Produce technical documentation to ensure code maintainability.
- Continuously develop knowledge in the field and share it with peers.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of data engineering practices.
- Go beyond coding to understand the business context data and related processes.
- Actively participate in team discussions.
Qualifications and Skills
- Solid and demonstrated experience with: SnowflakeDBT
- Knowledge of the following technologies is a plus: Azure Microsoft SQL Server Power BI.
- Fluency in the following programming languages: SQL Python
- Additional programming languages (a plus): Javascript / Java DAX.
- Strong ability to write execute and optimize complex SQL queries.
- Experience with data profiling and validating data quality.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices.
- Experience working in an agile team delivering big data / analytics solutions.
- Strong interpersonal skills motivation and ability to work on multiple challenging projects simultaneously.
- Openminded and adaptable to new ways of working.
- Well organized with strong selfprioritization skills even under conflicting deadlines.
- Strong communication skills both spoken and written in French and English.
- Continuously seeks improvement and is eager to explore new technologies.
- Nicetohave: experience with SAP Power BI AI/ML knowledge.
- Preferred work location: Sherbrooke or Montreal
