Job Description:
Join Hitachi Energy as the Service Distribution Center Manager where you will lead the planning organization and operations of our new distribution center in Pennsylvania (Belle Vernon area). This pivotal role oversees all distribution functions including order processing picking kitting packaging shipping receiving inventory management and cycle counting as well as ensuring the facility meets all operational and compliance requirements to operate.
Youll partner with the operating unit to ensure timely delivery of materials using modern processes to manage inventory and optimize operations through data and analytics.

Maintain a Safety-First culture and attitude.
Lead the setup and implementation of the new warehouse facility including layout design operational structure and operations execution aligned with the Service business strategy.
Execute the transition strategy ensuring product availability to customers and shop operations minimizing operational disruption and ensuring business continuity.
Support and evolve the warehousing strategy for the Service operating unit in the US.
Responsible for overseeing daily warehouse activities including receiving storage picking packing and shipping. Ensures inventory accuracy through cycle counts proper documentation and process compliance.
Lead develop and motivate a team of material handlers and fulfilment staff.
Develop maintain and deploy standard operating procedures and work instructions for own area of responsibility.
Balance workloads to achieve production and delivery targets for each shift.
Collaborate with Quality team on incoming and final inspections.
Utilize modern inventory management practices including cycle counts and physical inventory.
Leverage data analytics and software tools to optimize warehouse workflows and track performance metrics.
Identify and propose automation opportunities to enhance warehouse efficiency.
Propose and implement warehouse improvements to streamline processes.
Ensure the availability of facility equipment tools essentials and materials for efficient warehousing operations.
Oversee and ensure comprehensive training of staff in all operational and safety protocols.
Ensure full compliance with OSHA and other regulations policies and safety procedures as well as internal procedures and guidelines.
Maintain warehouse organization using 5S principals and daily management practices.
Your Background
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
5 years of experience in warehouse or distribution center management.
Strong knowledge of distribution center functions and processes.
Proficiency in SAP S4 Hana for inventory / warehouse management preferably in EWM module.
Proven leadership experience managing direct teams
Excellent organization and analytical skills
Experience in facility management is preferable.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
Previous background in implementing new warehouse operation
