The Prince Rupert Port Authority (PRPA) is a leading industry organization dedicated to the overall planning development marketing and management of the commercial port facilities within the Port of Prince Rupert.
PRPA isseeking two (2) motivated eager-to-learn environmental sustainability students to join the team and contribute toongoing projects and initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience develop professional skills and enhance career prospects. Please note that one position is full-time and the other position is part-time.

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Assistinvariousenvironmental stewardship programssuch as:
- Monitoring and sampling programs with work conducted on a vessel.
- Data collectionreportingand research.
- Other tasks asrequired.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
- Enrolled in an undergraduate program inscienceecologyormarinestudies.
- Good writingand communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is an asset.
- Workwill be split between an office environment and fieldwork.
- Must be able to liftitemsup to 25 pounds.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Regular working hours are Monday to Friday 7.5 hours/day with a 1-hour lunch break (unpaid).
- Part-time position: 20 hoursperweek and requires flexibility with scheduling to meet the needs of the team.
- Work will be both in thefieldworking on vessels and in an office environment.
- This position may require occasional irregular work hours.
The hourly rate for PRPAs Summer Student positionis$29.00.
