Student Services Assistant

Employment Type: Full-time (35 hours per week including evenings and weekends)
Location: Granville Island
Salary: $38000

About the Role

Reporting to the Manager of Student Services the Student Services Assistant is the first point of contact for our students and families supporting registration and general inquiries. This role plays a key part in ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience for all visitors while also supporting internal teams across operations communications and risk management.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service through timely communication and registration support
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of programs schedules instructors and events
• Manage data entry and customer records within the registration system
• Collaborate with multiple departments to support daily operations
• Open and close the facility as required
• Support student needs including bursary administration
• Administer first aid when needed (training provided)
• Report and respond to any safety concerns or incidents

What You Bring

• Post-secondary education or equivalent experience
• 12 years of customer service or client-facing experience
• Experience working with children youth or in an educational setting
• Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills
• Confidence using MS Office (Outlook Word Excel)
• Experience with ActiveNet or similar systems (an asset)
• Additional language skills (Mandarin Cantonese French or Spanish) are an asset
• First Aid or Mental Health First Aid certification (an asset)
