NSI Industries is seeking a Distribution Center Outbound Manager for our Huntersville NC (Reese Blvd) location. This role leads and manages all outbound operations for the Huntersville Distribution Center including Picking Auditing Packing and Shipping (small parcel and LTL/TL). Ensures operational excellence accuracy and efficiency across all outbound workflows while fostering a high-performance safety-focused team culture.Responsibilities
- Serve as a hands-on working manager overseeing all outbound functionsfrom shelf stock through shippingwhile managing performance attendance training engagement retention and development for the entire outbound team.
- Direct and manage fulfillment for sales orders transfer orders manual and robotic picks small parcel shipments and LTL/TL freight.
- Ensure order accuracy through effective auditing processes and quality control measures.
- Lead daily operations meetings to review performance identify issues and establish the days action plan.
- Act as the primary contact for after-hours or weekend emergency order fulfillment (on a rare as-needed basis).
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards; maintain documentation and enforce accountability.
- Develop refine and implement process improvements to enhance productivity accuracy and service levels across warehouse operations.
- Track analyze and improve key performance indicators to drive operational efficiency.
- Oversee and coordinate appropriate training programs for all outbound employees.
- Partner with supervisors and cross-functional management teams to identify and implement operational improvements.
- Monitor quality quantity cost and efficiency of material movement and product storage; perform ongoing logistical analysis and identify innovative solutions.
- Ensure all distribution initiatives include clear goals measurable outcomes and ongoing performance tracking.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree preferred; an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience will also be considered.
- 510 years of progressive work experience including a minimum of five years in management with responsibility for supervisors or managers.
- Strong managerial competency with deep knowledge of supply chain and logistics processes; ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent communication leadership and motivational skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of material handling shipping receiving inventory and returns processes.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and influence large teams.
- Strong sense of urgency with exceptional analytical math and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to work overtime when necessary.
- Ability to build positive working relationships and foster teamwork across diverse groups.
