Responsibilities
- Obtains patient records and prescriptions
- Assures patient pre-admission paper work is complete
- Coordinates PRN (pro re nata when necessary) staffing and employee schedules as needed
- Supports the front office team as back-up for phone front desk coverage verifying insurance and scheduling
- Monitors patient equipment requests including coordination with vendors therapists and patients to assure completion
- Maintains patient care database by entering new information & updating
- Monitors cancellations makes follow up calls and sends letters
- Promotes and hosts support groups and special events (Develops fliers promotes on web page and social media decides topics and content coordinates speakers)
- Maintains web site (bios news stories patient stories newsletters and announcements)
- Reconciles credit card batch sheets daily
- Orders supplies for clinic
- Collects weekly and monthly statistical information and assists director in preparing corporate reports
- Maintains and develops referral source relationships and corresponds with physicians/referral sources
- Maintains study information and actively recruits participants
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Diploma
- A minimum of two years administrative office experience preferable in a medical setting
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification process
- Advanced computer software (Microsoft office) and data entry skills
- Excellent organizational customer service and oral/written communication skills
