The beautiful and iconic Washington Hilton is located less than 2 miles away from The White House and National Mall. We boast 1100 guest rooms and 118000 square feet of event space is carefully laid out over three floors. We are looking to add a Senior Event Manager to our team to handle our amazing large groups of 500 peak! This is a great opportunity to work with high profile groups and put on amazing events! Ideal candidate will have 2 year of hotel events experience!
What will I be doing
A Senior Event Manager is responsible for executing written sales agreements for large-scale and complex full-service meetings conventions and events and the successful execution of such events in the hotels continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.
- You are responsible for the negotiation of business through proposals andcontracts to close business.
- Creative design of menus and events to maximize revenue and event experience.
- Maintain existing relationships with corporate and social accounts.
- Responsible forevent documentation and coordination with Sales hotel departments and customers to ensure consistent high-level service throughout the pre-event event and post-event phases of all hotel events.
- This position primarilyhandles complex events. You will be required to ensure a seamless turnover from sales to service back to sales.
- Recognizes opportunities to maximize revenue by upselling and offering enhancements to create outstandingevents.
- Serve as the event planner primary contact following turnover on property and is responsible for his/her experience.
