Job Summary

Savan is seeking a Senior Records and Information Management (RIM) Consultant to support theexecution of government-widerecordslifecycle management be successful in this position you should haveexperiencedeveloping and implementing information-related strategies policies technologies and procedures. You will be expected to assessprocesscompliance with RIM requirements and best practices quicklyidentifyroot causes of RIM challengesdistill recommendationsinto actionablestrategiesand execute them. You will also be expected to lead the implementation of recommended program improvements which may includerecordslifecycle modernization activities and training.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate adetailed understanding ofagencyrecords management program priorities special projects and ongoing records lifecycle support activities
  • Develop and supportimplementation of guidanceforpaperelectronicrecordsand digitalization projectsin accordance withthe Federal Records ActNARA guidelinesindustry trends andprofessional RIM standards
  • Lead record identification tracking and dataentry forrecord inventory and file plan efforts
  • Support records scheduling and appraisal activities
  • Support development of digitization strategies training and guidance and support execution of digitization activities through quality assurance reviews
  • Support development and delivery of training programs across the records management spectrum
  • Advise stakeholders onappropriate coursesof actionto addresscomplex technical enterpriseRIMchallenges
  • Support theimplementation ofelectronic records managementsolutions
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • 3yearssupporting records management initiatives across the federal government
  • Experience applying ormaintainingrecords inventoriesandfile plans
  • Experience reviewing updating and developing federalrecords schedules
  • Bachelors degree ininformationmanagement (e.g. Information Science/Management Library/Archives Data/Information Governance)or business discipline
  • Ability to obtain andmaintainrequired government clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified Records Manager (CRM) certification
  • Working knowledge of applications used to enforce information governance or management policies such as: SharePoint Microsoft PurviewHyland Solutions M-Files Documentum etc.
  • Strong and consistent business writing

Onsite Washington DC
