We have an opportunity for aShipping Administrator to join our Honeywell Eastbourne East Sussex United Kingdom.To work as part of a team providing a forward looking planning and shipping function that: - Maximises HMD Shipping Performance. Interacts between Sales Engineering Contracts Production Control and Supply Chain functions. Ensures that all documentation and procedures are adhered to.

This role will be based out of our HMD UK site in East Sussex. We have approx. 112 employees across a variety of functions including engineering project management procurement manufacturing as well as other support function. Key Responsibilities

• Investigate un-invoiced shipment list and identify sales orders that require shipping. Invoice sales orders ready for shipping and notify shipping agents as necessary.
• Communicate with despatch and sales to ensure efficient shipping performance. Communicate with Customers and After Sales information on shipping and tracking.
• Consider impact of shipping requirements on process timing. Ensure documents comply with Letters of Credit; liaise with freight forwarder etc. preparing all relevant documents.
• Liaison and adequate communication within the team and organisation are essential including highlighting potential problems issues and solutions to your Line Manager.
• Produce and publish metrics as required. Participate in the company-wide quality improvement program lean Six sigma/A3.
• Obtain competitive shipping quotations and assist towards cost reduction. Prepare and submit customs entry documentation. Provide cover for Export Control function as required.

Must Have Skills

• Improved on-time delivery to customers. Higher degree of visibility of requirements
• Identification of potential issues with corrective action taken. Increased Customer Satisfaction
• Previous shipping administration experience. Adobe JDE Teams Excel. Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to make decisions within guidelines and take responsibility. Ability to meet tight time frames and work under pressure is important
• Driving and enthusiasm are pre-requisites. Team working and flexibility
• Desirable - Previous experience in export control highly desirable
