Country Club of Landfall is seeking enthusiastic and responsible Summer Camp Counselors to join our team!
Position Summary: : The Summer Camp Counselors are responsible for the care and education of children in our summer camp programs. They will lead school aged children in activities that promote social physical and intellectual growth. They will provide a safe and fun environment; and work with parents to assess the individual needs of children.
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent and are at least 18 years of age by your first day of work.
- Priorexperience working with children and want to mentor them to be their best selves.
- Comfortable working in the outdoors in all kinds of weather during summer months
- Able to swim and comfortable with water activities
- Are kind curious and confident with a can-do attitude and are able and willing to accept and effectively act on feedback and guidance
- Available Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Starting in June and ending in Augst.
- Enjoys engaging with and being in the company of children.
Responsibilities
- Camp Counselors spend their days with a group of school aged children engaging in all aspects of our programs.
- Lead supervise and engage in childrens play activities and games.
- Camp Counselors safeguard the physical emotional and intellectual safety of campers.
- Resolves disputes between children as necessary.
- Maintains safe and clean facility.
- Maintains toys and games and reports any damaged materials or items.
- Camp Counselors establish lines of communication between participants their families and other staff.
- Completes other appropriate tasks as assigned by the Childrens Activities Coordinator or Director.
Reporting Relationships:
- Reports Directly To: Director of Childrens Activities
- Also Reports To: Childrens Activities Coordinator
- Directly Supervises: Children
Working Relationships:
- Works with the Childrens Activities Director Coordinator CCL parents and children to implement successful childrens programs.
