Summary:
Functions in collaborative practice with physician(s) and advanced practice providers (APP) in the Emergency Department (ED) setting. Provides emergency nursing care as delegated by the registered nurse or directed by the physician(s) and/or advanced practice provider(s) including patient focused assessment intervention procedures and education. Skillfully and consistently performs daily clinical duties per established policy and procedure. The LVN will support all nursing care in the department. This role will act as clinical skill support to perform daily clinical duties per established policy and procedure within their scope of practice.
Shift will be discussed in the interview. It will be either 9a or 3p.
This is a part time position 36 hours per pay period.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program accredited LVN school
Licensure Registration and/or Certification
- Current permit/ or license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas
- Current BLS
- Certification as necessary in certain areas in the Medical Center.
- PALS within 1 year of hire.
