The Job Mission
This is a hybrid role requiring two days per week in our Bristol office with occasional site visits to Hinkley Point C in Bridgwater.
The role supports design management of the Operational Service Centre and associated Skybridges.
Responsibility includes oversight of final MEP execution design and configuration control.
The position provides technical leadership during installation resolving site queries and ensuring quality compliance.
Manage delivery of remaining MEP execution design packages
Review and approve supplier Design Package Release Notes
Control technical configuration and change management processes
Coordinate multidisciplinary interfaces across building design disciplines
Maintain critical oversight of health and safety proposals
Ensure Lifetime Quality Records are complete and compliant
Resolve site technical queries change requests and non conformances
Support readiness reviews and release hold points appropriately
Interface with Responsible Designer and wider internal stakeholders
Report progress escalate risks and manage open technical points
Qualifications :
Nuclear experience is not essential but is of course welcome. If you have worked within a highly regulated environment your skills and approach are highly transferable and of strong interest to us.
We also recognise that the perfect candidate rarely exists. If you feel you meet around 80% of the criteria and are motivated to develop further we would strongly encourage you to apply
Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Experience in project coordination and design management
Background in nuclear or regulated industry environments
Knowledge of UK building regulations and compliance
Strong attention to detail and configuration control focus
Experience managing technical change processes
Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary stakeholder groups
Understanding of surveillance and quality assurance processes
Professional discretion handling sensitive project information
