  • Final deletion of data out of retention
  • Release management STMS/Charm
  • Database Growth Analysis
  • DVM Data volume Management
  • Documentation of Archiving Processes.
  • Info structure Management
  • Data Analysis - Object level
  • Implement the system settings (Customizing of platform-independent file names and technical archiving object settings) - file paths by Near Basis
  • Assistance in training users (where relevant) on archive document retrieval
  • New Storage System migration testing
  • Upgrade testing (Archiving and Storage)
  • Run Pre and Post Processing Programs (As Required)
  • Coordinate Data Cleansing (As Required)
  • Research/resolve/re-run failed archive sessions
  • Monitor Archiving Statistics program & Update Date Descriptions
  • Respond to Business & Audit Requests
  • Coordinate Table and Index Reorganizations
  • Resolve storage problems
  • Job monitoring when servers go down (ticket logging job stop monitoring etc)
  • Research SAP Note and apply SAP notes

  • Knowledge of ADK (Archive Development Kit)
  • Use of SAP Data Archiving Workbench (SARA)
  • Integration with External Storage Solutions (e.g. DMS ILM)
  • Release management STMS/Charm or SAP CALM
  • Understand the business requirements preparing AS-IS and TO-BE documents and get sign-off from users for Business Blueprint document
  • Understanding of Business Data Retention Policies
  • Knowledge of Legal Compliance & Audit Requirements
  • Plan and manage workload and communication
  • Proficiency with Reporting Tools for Archived Data - Excel etc
  • Excel advanced
  • Be able to collaborate with Stakeholders (Functional & Technical Teams)
