Job Summary
We are seeking a Seasonal Material Handler to join our dynamic team in Edmonton AB this role you will play a crucial part in ensuring the efficient movement and organization of materials within our warehouse facility during our peak season.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move store and retrieve materials
- Load and unload trucks containers and pallets accurately and safely
- Perform inventory counts and update inventory management systems
- Organize and maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Assist in preparing orders for shipment ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and deadlines
- Follow all safety procedures and report any potential hazards or incidents
- Participate in regular team meetings and contribute ideas for process improvements
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous warehouse or material handling experience preferred
- Valid forklift certification (preferred)
- Proficiency in operating material handling equipment
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic computer skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly
- Excellent time management and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings and weekends as needed
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
