About the role

The Senior Strategic Advisor provides high-level strategic analytical and communications support to the Executive General Manager and Senior Leadership Team of the Enterprise Transformation division.

This is a pivotal role operating at the centre of executive decision-making. You will help shape strategic direction align cross-divisional priorities and ensure the EGM and SLT are supported with clear high-quality insights and materials. Working across Enterprise Transformation and the broader organisation you will identify emerging issues synthesise complex information and provide proactive advice that informs executive planning and action.

You will also lead the development and quality assurance of board papers executive briefings strategic messaging and governance materials ensuring clarity alignment and consistency.

About the Team

This role sits within the Enterprise Transformation division supporting the EGM and senior leadership team responsible for delivering TACs most significant strategic and transformation initiatives.

The leadership culture is collaborative accountable and outcomes-focused with a strong emphasis on partnership governance excellence and continuous improvement. You will report into the General Manager Transformation and oversee one direct report.

What were looking for

Strategic & Analytical Advisor

You have demonstrated experience analysing complex issues synthesising information and providing high-quality strategic advice in a public sector or similarly complex environment. You bring sound judgement foresight and the ability to connect operational insight with strategic direction.

Executive Communications Experience

You are an exceptional communicator with extensive experience preparing board papers ministerial or executive briefings and strategic communications. You produce clear concise and well-structured materials and are confident coordinating inputs from diverse subject matter experts.

Trusted Partner & People Leader

You build strong collaborative relationships across organisational boundaries and influence stakeholders with credibility. You are highly organised comfortable managing competing priorities and experienced in supervising or mentoring staff fostering a constructive and high-performing team culture.
