About the role:

Were on the lookout for a motivated and curious individual to join our team as an Education officer. While the title may sound like it involves teaching or classroom-based education role this role is far from that.
Youll be on the move mostly out in the community inspecting bins problem-solving on the spot and helping make our city cleaner and greener. Its a unique mix of hands-on fieldwork and admin/reporting tasks.
What youll do:
- Visit neighbourhoods to inspect bins and identify incorrect use (e.g. wrong items in recycling).
- Investigate and resolve issues like repeated misuse of bins or missed collections.
- Plan your daily routes and work closely with council enforcement officers to focus on priority areas.
- Record your findings and provide monthly updates to the council on patterns problem areas and wins.
- Distribute flyers and simple info to help locals understand how to use their bins correctly
Qualifications :
What were looking for:
You dont need years of experience. Were open to applicants who are starting out and willing to learn. If you enjoy being out and about like solving problems and are confident with people this could be a great fit.
- Some exposure to auditing quality checks or compliance-type work is a bonus!
- Confident communicator as youll be talking with a range of people.
- Keen ability to spot patterns or inconsistencies
- Comfortable using Microsoft Word and Excel to complete reports
- Organised self-driven and good at managing your own day
- Full Class 1 Driver Licence (essential)
