Texas Instruments is actively seeking a Software Systems Engineer to join our team. Put your talent to work with us !
In this role you will be responsible for the requirements definition design development test integration and support of embedded software (e.g. operating system software device drivers software frameworks algorithmic libraries etc) and software development tools (compilers simulators IDEs etc.). You will be responsible for following established software development methodology and practices defined for their business for support of pre-silicon design and requirements as well as software validation activities. This includes impacting hardware architecture requirements from a software usage compatibility performance and reuse potential perspectives. You will also be responsible for creation and maintenance of customer collateral for software products and deliverables. You will be working closely with TI teams (silicon hardware software teams) and customers as part of the normal software life-cycle. The responsibilities may also include quality assurance and configuration/release management. The engineer must keep management informed regarding technical issues and problems and to the extent possible proposing solutions to correct the problems. The Software Systems Engineer adds application system requirements definition system specification SoC (system on a chip) requirements definition. The Engineer identifies analyzes resolves system design weaknesses and influences the shaping of future products by contributing to the framework (architecture) used across multiple products or systems.
QualificationsMinimum requirements:
- Minimum education (ie bachelors degree in electrical engineering)
Preferred qualifications:
- Ability to establish strong relationships with key stakeholders critical to success both internally and externally
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to quickly ramp on new systems and processes
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
- Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
- Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
