Location: Zacatecas Mexico (onsite)

As our next Packaging Engineer you will be responsible for design and developing returnable and expendable packaging to ensure efficient receipt and delivery of material complying with guidelines manufacturing logistics and quality conditions at minimum total costs in close cooperation with Process Engineers & Site Operations across multiple sites in North America

What Youll Be Doing:
Execute packaging creation and release based on project plan and schedules monitor manage risk and problems identify solutions and implement them
Responsible to perform the packaging validation test and/or supervise and approve the packaging test from suppliers ensure test reports complies with requirements
Create product & packaging BOMs and associated documents in support of New Product Introduction Change Management cost reduction and customer packaging change initiatives
Manage multiple projects simultaneously
Lead packaging development and approval with OEMs for returnable packaging/service parts packaging/expendable packaging
Develops internal plant packaging concepts to eliminate re-packaging of components into the product automation assembly lines
Coordinates with packaging suppliers and automation suppliers as needed by our sites
Familiar with dunnages bulk containers corrugated boxes collapsable packaging and developing sustainable packaging
What Were Looking For:
Proficiency in spoken and written English is a must
Bachelors degree in Engineering (Industrial Automotive Electrical preferred)
Mid Career 7-10 years in packaging design and development design and execute packaging for current and future projects and work on improvements on existing packaging
Good time management skills; good communication and interpersonal skills
Skilled in Microsoft Excel Word and PowerPoint
Strong time management communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to travel
