Job Summary:

The Buffet Lead oversees buffet operations during assigned shifts ensuring food quality cleanliness and excellent guest service. This role provides on-floor leadership coordinates with the culinary team enforces standards and supports smooth day-to-day operations. Responsible for supporting the Companys mission vision and values by providing an unparalleled experience of fun and entertainment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Leads by example
Responsible for maintaining a high degree of hospitality as well as a positive and professional demeanor at all times.
Leads buffet operations during assigned shifts ensuring food quality presentation cleanliness and service standards are consistently met.
Acts as the primary point of contact between the buffet team and culinary staff proactively communicating food levels and replenishment needs.
Monitors food quality and freshness throughout service directing staff to change pans and rotate product as required.
Oversees proper setup breakdown and maintenance of buffet equipment; ensures daily cleaning of floors and service areas.
Ensures all food handling and service practices comply with health department regulations and food safety guidelines.
Provides leadership on the floor by modeling prompt courteous and professional guest service.
Communicates operational issues staffing concerns or guest escalations promptly to the immediate supervisor.
Assists in training new buffet staff and provides guidance and support to team members during service.
Perform all other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Previous experience in food service buffet or catering operations.
Working knowledge of food safety sanitation and health department guidelines.
Strong communication and interpersonal skill
Must be able to pass Canterbury Parks pre-employment screening which includes a criminal background check and verification of work history.
Must be able to attain a Minnesota Racing Commission (MRC) license.
