WHAT YOU WILL DO:

As an educator with Phalen Leadership Academies (PLA) you are considered a guardian to our students (whom we refer to as scholars). Therefore as a teacher with PLA you must establish an exemplary classroom culture that balances high expectations with love and support. You will also build trust and community in your classroom via clear and timely communication with both your scholars and families.

At PLA we have created a blended-learning model that is specifically designed to raise achievement for historically underserved scholars. So we support your creativity and wholeheartedly encourage a rigorous personalized and well-rounded educational experience to meet the unique needs of each scholar in your classroom.

LOCATION: Various locations in Indianapolis IN

DO YOU HAVE:

• A valid teaching license OR
• An Indiana Cosmetology Instructor certification and ability to obtain an Indiana teaching license
• 4000 work hours in a licensed cosmetology salon or school within the past 10 years

AND ARE YOU

• Great at using data to drive instruction
• Able to drive the mission and vision of PLA
• An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills
