Job Description

Summary/objective

Randolph College Master of Arts in Coaching and Sport Leadership (MACSL) Program is seeking a full-time 12-month Director beginning in May 2026. The MACSL Director will assist in all aspects of management of the graduate program and serve as a course instructor as needed. The Director will be responsible for day-to-day operations in administering marketing and recruiting for the in-person and online MACSL graduate programs.

The Director will supervise MACSL Graduate Students enrolled in Practicum sections throughout the entirety of the program as well as on-campus Graduate Assistantship placements. An importance is placed on the cultivation of relationships with key influencers such as undergraduate professors administrative offices alumni and faculty. Day-to-day operations include on and off-campus meetings written and verbal correspondence and strategic plan implementation. A major focus will be on meeting enrollment goals through the recruitment and admission process involving non-standard and varied working hours to provide follow-up and personal attention to prospective students applicants and deposited students. Recruitment involves travel direct mail e-recruitment and telework when necessary to achieve programmatic goals applicant goals and enrolled student goals. Continual emphasis is put on maintaining a positive student experience at Randolph College.

  • Support and maintain program website updates and social media accounts
  • Recruit prospective students and facilitate admission efforts
  • Compile and maintain student admission files and documents
  • Coordinate housing accommodations for residential students
  • Coordinate Orientations - food lodging transportation meals staff scheduling etc.
  • Plan program-related events on and off Randolph Colleges campus
  • Work with other Colleges and campuses to create and maintain articulation agreements
  • Maintain master strategic calendars for the MACSL graduate program
  • Represent the Randolph College mission on and off campus
  • Teach academic courses (outside of Practicum Supervision) as needed
  • Additional projects as assigned which may include:
  • Coordinating or assisting with guest lecturers
  • Program liaison with college departments and community organizations
  • Adherence to and maintenance of Accreditation standards
  • Update program content as necessary and work toward reaccreditation efforts

Work environment

Position generally works in an office environment. Must be able to work at a desk and on a computer for long periods of time. Some responsibilities of the position require time outside or at practicum sites. Night and weekend work may be required. Schedule is dictated by programmatic needs.

Physical demands

May be standing/walking/sitting for extended periods. May frequently lift 15/25 lbs. and may walk/bend in the performance of the job function.

Travel required

Some travel in addition to office work required for recruiting supervising and accreditation efforts.
