1. Responsible for the day to day running of the Battery encompassing the full G1-9 spectrum but in particular to include all aspects of administration using JPA CHURCHILL and RAPS. This includes COE pay personal documentation mobilisation documentation recruiting and retention.
2. If necessary Command the Battery on a day to day basis in the absence of the BC.
3. Act as the Focal point for on-site security SHEF and be on call 24/7 for all estate matters.
4. Ensure all Battery Service Non-Public accounts (Officers/Sgts and Bty PRI) are run efficiently and in accordance with Service Non-Public Funds Regulations.
5. Sub-Unit Security Officer. Responsible for all Bty level security matters including Establishment Security Assessments.
6. Sub-Unit D&I Officer. Dealing with D&I issues at Bty level and signposting accordingly.
7. Sub-Unit Welfare Officer in support of the ROSO and CoC. liaising with Bty members and their families as necessary on all welfare matters. Signposting to various welfare services and service charities as required.
8. Management of the Battery Permanent Staff and Civilian Staff. Acting as the Civilian Staff LM for all MS and career management.
9. Act as the conduit between the RCMO and the Bty CoC on all MS matters providing advice/direction where appropriate.
10. Oversee the management of Bty LTNAs whilst maintaining a Bty recruiting and workforce database.
11. In support of OP BRIDGE ensure OIC Practice Currency and Competency is maintained in accordance with regimental direction.
12. Ad hoc tasks to support RHQ output such as CNO CVO CE events Assisting Officer TRIM and POSM.
13. BPT support UK resilience tasks as required.
