Overview

We are building a unified Planning Cockpit for upstream oil & gas operators bringing together corporate capital planning asset development planning economic evaluation and scheduling into a single orchestrated experience.

This cockpit will serve as the control center for guided workflows cross-product insights and agent-assisted planning across multiple systems. It is designed to unify historically siloed tools into a cohesive decision-oriented environment.

We are hiring aSenior Product Designerto lead the design of this flagship surface.

Prior oil & gas experience is not required. Candidates should demonstrate experience designing complex workflow-driven enterprise systems that support high-impact decision-making across integrated tools.

This role plays a central part in defining the interaction model for the Planning Cockpit including cross-system workflow orchestration human-in-the-loop automation patterns and scalable UX standards that support long-term platform growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end UX design for the Planning Cockpit
  • Design cohesive workflow chains that span multiple products and tools
  • Define human-in-the-loop patterns for automation and agent-assisted workflows (review approve explain override)
  • Create interaction models that make complex processes clear guided and transparent
  • Develop prototypes to validate new workflow concepts before engineering investment
  • Establish scalable UX standards reusable patterns and style guidance
  • Partner closely with Product and Engineering on feasibility tradeoffs and implementation approach
  • Guide execution to ensure strong alignment between design intent and final build
  • Present design direction and workflow models to internal stakeholders and leadership
  • And other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 5 years designing complex B2B or enterprise SaaS products
  • Experience designing workflow-heavy data-intensive systems
  • Proven ability to design cross-system or multi-tool experiences

  • Strong systems thinking and comfort modeling states dependencies and edge cases
  • Experience contributing to or defining design systems and UX standards
  • Strong collaboration skills with Product and Engineering teams
  • Proficiency in Figma or equivalent design and prototyping tools

Preferred Skills

  • Experience designing automation or AI-assisted interfaces
  • Experience in operational financial or engineering-heavy domains
  • Experience influencing UX strategy at a product or platform level
