This posting is specifically for the Next Gen Networking Services stream of the Graduate Technology Leadership Program.

The Graduate Technology Leadership Program has three separate postings (Next Gen Networking Services Cybersecurity Applications and Software & AI Solutions).

What youll work on in the Next Gen Networking Services Stream:

As part of the GTLP you will have the opportunity to complete 9-month rotations across 3 different teams to help you develop technical expertise and leadership skills. Rotations are designed to promote accelerated development. Once your first rotation is complete there is an opportunity to move within other streams (Software and AI Solutions and Cybersecurity Applications.)

Your focus on this stream will be one or more of the following:

  • Transform traditional network infrastructure into intelligent cloud-based systems
  • Enhance sustainability through smart network optimization
  • Elevate customer experience through reliable high-performance connectivity
  • Drive the evolution to a hyper-connected 5G and ORAN
  • Implement AI-powered network optimization and automation solutions


In this stream you will gain hands-on experience with modern tools and technologies essential for a world-class tech company. This may include building skills in one or some combination of the following areas:

  • 5G Infrastructure & Radio Access Network (RAN): Deploy and optimize 5G networks build network slicing automation for IoT and enterprise use cases and develop performance monitoring solutions for coverage and quality.
  • Cloud Network Engineering & NFV/SDN: Migrate network functions to cloud-native environments implement virtualization to replace hardware appliances and build multi-cloud networking solutions across AWS Azure and on-premises systems.
  • Network Automation: Create machine learning models for predictive maintenance and congestion management build self-healing systems that auto-remediate failures and develop zero-touch provisioning for network equipment.
  • Network Operations & Performance Engineering: Create real-time monitoring systems for latency and throughput build analytics platforms that correlate network performance with customer satisfaction and develop proactive alerting and quality assurance tools.
  • Network Architecture & Strategic Planning: Design energy-efficient scalable network architectures develop sustainability solutions that reduce carbon emissions and optimize network routing to balance performance cost and energy consumption.

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience:

  • You must be a recent grad within one year or be expecting to graduate by August 2026 with a Bachelors or Masters degree in computer science engineering or a related technical degree.
  • Minimum 4-12 months of relevant professional work internship or co-op experience in a technical environment.
    Required Skills & Abilities:

Leadership & Initiative:

  • Demonstrated leadership potential through academic projects community involvement extracurricular activities or volunteer work
    Takes ownership and initiative in approaching challenges and driving results

Technical Foundation:

  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g. Python Java JavaScript C etc.)
  • Solid understanding of software development fundamentals and best practices


Learning Agility:

  • Strong aptitude for rapidly acquiring new programming languages frameworks and technologies
  • Adaptable and comfortable working with unfamiliar tools and evolving technical landscapes

Communication & Collaboration:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to convey technical concepts clearly
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively in team environments

Problem-Solving & Analysis:

  • Advanced analytical thinking and systematic approach to solving complex problems
  • Ability to break down ambiguous challenges into actionable solutions

Locations: Positions are available in Vancouver Calgary Edmonton Toronto Ottawa and Montreal.
