Hub Chaplain Inner West Sydney date for allapplicationsFriday March 13th 2026Uniting isseekingto call apastoral prophetic and organised leaderto serve as Hub Chaplain across our Inner West placement is based inLilyfield providing spiritual and pastoral leadership across:Uniting The Marion Residential Aged Care LeichhardtUniting Aldersgate Residential Aged Care LilyfieldIndependent Living Units in LeichhardtHome and Community Care clients across Sydney Central and EastYou will lead a team of four pastoral care staff and join a collaborative group of five Hub Chaplains reporting directly to the Chaplaincy Lead Sydney the RoleThis is a significant leadership placement within Unitings Chaplaincy team. As Hub Chaplain you will:Provide compassionate theologically grounded chaplaincy and pastoral care across multiple sitesLead and support a team of pastoral care staff fostering reflective practice and professional growthShape and oversee spiritual care for residents in Residential Aged Care Independent Living and Home and Community CareWork collaboratively within multidisciplinary teamsEnsuretimelyandaccuratedocumentation and reportingContribute a thoughtful gospel-informed voice within an organisational contextYou will hold the pastoral heart of the Hub while maintaining the systems governance and administrative rigour required in aged care YouWe are seeking someone who:Has a background in chaplaincy with experience in Residential Aged Care and/or suitable training in Clinical Pastoral EducationCan lead while remaining deeply present and relationalUnderstands that teamwork and accountability are essential to our ministryCan work confidently within organisational structures whileretaininga prophetic perspectiveHas sound computer and administrative skillsIs comfortable working across diversity including LGBTI cultural theological ecumenical and interfaith contextsIs skilled in conducting Chapel services including Sacraments preparing liturgies and leading memorial services as requiredOrdination within the Uniting Church in Australia (or eligibility) will be highly UnitingAt Uniting we exist to serve the community wherever there is need.
