Heres What You Need

High School Diploma or Equivalent is required

Associate degree preferred

Prior experience in a clinical laboratory histology laboratory or gross setting preferred.

6 months experience in pathology specimen receipt processing and handling. Specialized tissue handling and assisting pathologists with gross tissue preparation and bone marrows are highly preferred.

Phlebotomy experience is highly preferred for this position. Phlebotomy duties will be performed on a daily basis.

Follows laboratory procedure for specimen collection handling and processing.

Specimen Integrity

Gross Room

Frozen Section

Test Procedures

Microtomy

Preparation of Slides and Stains

Evaluate stains

Cytology Specimens

Reference Lab

Laboratory Operations

Safety
