Junior Cost Accounting Analyst 6 months Temp (possible temp to hire) Rio Vista (On Site) $30/hour

A well-established growing organization is seeking a Junior Cost Accounting Analyst to support an experienced team. This role is best suited for a recent graduate or early-career professional with a degree or coursework in Accounting Finance Business or a related field who is comfortable starting in a hands-on entry-level support role. The team is collaborative professional and committed to training someone with the right attitude and work ethic.

Location: 100% onsite in Rio Vista CA
Start: ASAP
Duration: Through late July (potential to extend or convert)
Schedule: Monday Friday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
Background Check:Hire contingent on a clear criminal background check and drug screen

What Youll Do:

Enter and review cost and accounting data in internal systems
Support accounting and cost tracking activities
Build maintain and update Excel spreadsheets (including multiple tabs and structured layouts)
Use Excel for pivot tables lookups formulas and error proofing data
Review information for accuracy completeness and consistency
Assist with basic reconciliations and documentation
Communicate with internal team members via email

This role focuses on support preparation and accuracy with review and final ownership handled by senior team members.

What Were Looking For:

Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Business or a related field or early-career accounting experience
Experience with Vista (Viewpoint) or other accounting/ERP systems a plus
Intermediate Excel skills including pivots formulas lookups building spreadsheets and error-proofing
Proficiency with Word email and general office tools
Fast and accurate 10--ey skills
Strong attention to detail and data-entry accuracy
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Exposure to construction industrial or marine-adjacent environments preferred

This position is intended as an entry level support role. Candidates seeking a senior level lead or fully autonomous accounting position may find this role too junior in scope.
