Job Title: Accountant

Location: 80 Park Plaza Newark NJ 07102

Hybrid: (currently 2 days per week to office (any days) with the possibility of increased in office expectations this year.

Duties:

Responsibilities:

• Prepares balance sheets profit and loss statements and other financial reports.
• Make recommendations on policies systems and procedures.
• Offers suggestions on resource utilization tax strategies and assumptions underlying budget forecasts.
• Must have thorough knowledge of accounting methods principals practices and the ability to apply the knowledge.
• Responsibilities also include analyzing trends costs revenues financial commitments and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses.
• Assist with special projects as requested.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated communication skills (verbal and written).
• Demonstrated ability to apply and follow job related policies and procedures.
• Proven analytical and problem solving skills.
• Persistence needed in order to resolve problems quickly.
• Ability to work independently in team oriented culture.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Bachelors degree with a concentration in accounting is preferred experience in the field or in a related area.

Experience Levels:

• Intermediate: Typically has up to approximately 4 years of experience performing this specific job function and requires some managerial oversight/direction.
• Advanced: Full knowledge of related concepts. Typically has at least 4 years of experience performing this specific job function and requires minimal managerial oversight/direction.
• Expert: Full knowledge of the function. Demonstrated ability to apply concepts to the functional area and see big picture impact of actions. Typically has approximately 7 years of experience performing this specific job function and requires very limited managerial oversight/direction.
