In order to expand the service Englinks must expand into the Upper-year market. Currently the upper-year portfolio is less consistent than the first-year portfolio thus it is expected that the Upper-Year Manager will reach out to upper year students with the help of the marketing manager to find the best ways of engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Organize all logistics of Upper-Year Workshops such as room booking test drive dates and sign in.
- Create a plan for what Upper-Year workshops and tutorials will be run throughout the year. This will be focused on expanding the portfolio by running new workshops and tutorials and converting past tutorials into full workshops.
- Review past workshop feedback and set optimistic but achievable goals.
- Determine what improvements/changes need to be made prior to each workshop. This includes curriculum changes.
- Reach out to discipline heads and students to determine which workshop and tutorials are in demand.
- Organize the tutor reviews to assist tutors in preparing.
- Lead workshop sign-in.
- Investigate workshop sign-in and preparation to improve the efficiency.
- Facilitate the collection of workshop feedback and distribute it to tutors.
- Record statistics of the workshops and tutorials to be used for future improvement.
- Find tutors to make improve and/or update resources (e.g. workbooks the EngLinks website).
- Create a plan for what resources are to be created.
- Manage all logistics associated with resource generation.
- Workbook printing shared between the upper-year workshops resource manager and the first-year workshop resource manager.

- This is not a paid position during the summer however a strategic plan and budget must be created during the summer
Salary/Time Commitment
- $110 Week Salaried
- 7 hours expected per week
- Salary is non-negotiable
