Job Summary

Are you excited to build products that are used by Amazon customers all over the world As a Front-End Engineer Intern youll have the opportunity to work closely with experienced developers to create the user-facing side of software. Youll collaborate with team members and stakeholders on UX and the full software development lifecycle including scoping software design code testing documentation deployment and maintenance.

Amazon internships are full-time positions and interns should expect to work in office Monday-Friday up to 40 hours per week typically between 8am-5pm. Specific team norms around working hours will be communicated by your manager. Interns should not have conflicts such as classes or other employment during the Amazon work-day.

Applicants should have a minimum of one quarter/semester/trimester remaining in their studies after their internship concludes. Key job responsibilities
As a Front-End Engineer Intern you will/may:
Deliver software components and improvements to software features with your teams software.
Work with stakeholders and product partners to deliver high-quality UX.
Take feature specifications and deliver working code that is maintainable and extendable.
Help provide operational support for your team and work to ensure that root causes are identified and resolved.
Participate in code reviews and daily stand-ups.
Collaborate with your team to positively impact the software quality customer experience and maintainability of your teams products.

- Are 18 years of age or older
- Are enrolled in a academic program that is physically located in Canada
- Work 40 hours/week minimum and commit to 12 week internship maximum
- Experience in HTML CSS or JavaScript
- Experience in at least one object-oriented programming language (e.g. JavaScript Python C#)
- Knowledge of computer science fundamentals (e.g. data structures & algorithms OO design)
- Currently working towards a Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering Information Science Web Development Human-Computer Interaction or other equivalent discipline with an expected conferral date between October 2026 December 2029

- Knowledge of UX best practices
- Experience in one or more relevant front-end frameworks such as React Angular etc.

The starting pay for this position is listed below. Amazon is a total compensation company additional earnings may include shift differentials overtime pay and performance bonuses where applicable. Final pay rate will be based on factors including shift selection location and addition Amazon offers basic life & AD&D insurance paid time off and other resources to improve health and well-being.
