About the role:
- This role is to provides full failure analysis support to Engineering R&D & NPI reliability qualifications and evaluations failures to identify product/package non-conformance.
What you will do:
Responsible for performing failure analysis on the product to understand the cause of product that deviate from its intended performance using the most appropriate analysis technique.
Support material analysis/data collection during qualifications evaluations and line rejects.
Manage overall laboratory resources for assigned task.
Support to develop and/or improve FA technique for new product and new package qualification.
Coach and assist FA operators and technicians on the analysis steps for the requests submitted until completion of the report.
Conducts orientation and training on FA Laboratory facilities equipment procedures capability and safety in order to enhance competency of co-employees.
Works with cross-functional team to find solutions and mechanisms to failure defects.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization to enhance failure analysis flow increase efficiency and reduce cycle time.
Ensure the lab safety ESD and EHS/chemical compliance.
What you will need:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering (preferably Chemical Metallurgy Chemistry Physics ECE or EE).
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in the semiconductor industry with exposure to failure analysis test quality reliability process engineering and package R&D.
Knowledge and hands-on experience in failure analysis tools and techniques.
Knowledge in electronic circuit analysis.
Proficiency in basic statistics and quality tools: MSA 8D FMEA SPC DOE QC tools.
Strong analytical thinking and problemsolving skills.
