Technical Operator EHR & Systems Integration

Location: Michigan (Headquarters-Based)
Department: Specialized Operations
Travel: Moderate (as needed for acquisitions and system transitions)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly technical and operationally sharp Technical Operator to support system integrations EHR transitions and acquisition onboarding from our Michigan headquarters.

This role is responsible for managing the technical side of acquisitions including EHR systems data migration support reporting and system alignment.

The ideal candidate is highly proficient in multiple EHR platforms learns systems quickly and has strong IT and data capabilities. You will work closely with acquisitions shared services and operational leaders to ensure seamless system transitions.

Primary EHR Platforms

This role requires strong working knowledge of:

Athena (Athenahealth)
Epic
eClinicalWorks

Experience with additional EHR platforms is a plus.

What Youll Do

EHR & Systems Integration

Support onboarding and integration of acquired practices into organizational systems
Assist with EHR data transitions and system conversions
Coordinate technical requirements for go-live readiness
Validate system functionality post-transition
Ensure continuity of patient and billing data

Reporting & Data Management

Pull operational and financial reports from multiple EHR systems
Support leadership with performance dashboards
Validate data integrity during transitions
Identify discrepancies in reporting during acquisition integrations

Acquisition Technical Support

Work directly with acquisition sites to assess technical readiness
Evaluate existing system configurations
Coordinate data transfers and migration timelines
Support interface development between systems
Technical issues troubleshoot during integration

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with:
- Integration & Transition Team
- MSO Shared Services
- Billing & Revenue Cycle
- IT & Infrastructure
Align system configurations with EPIC operational timelines
Provide technical input during acquisition planning

System Optimization

Identify workflow inefficiencies within EHR platforms
Recommend system improvements
Standardize reporting structures across states
Assist in building scalable technical infrastructure

What You Bring

35 years of hands-on experience with EHR systems
Direct experience with Athena Epic and/or eClinicalWorks
Strong technical and IT aptitude
Experience pulling and interpreting healthcare reports
Knowledge of healthcare workflows and revenue cycle
Experience supporting acquisitions or system migrations preferred

Technical Skill Requirements

Advanced EHR navigation and configuration knowledge
Data extraction and reporting capability
Understanding of interfaces and data mapping
Familiarity with HIPAA and healthcare compliance standards
Ability to learn new systems quickly
