Job Summary: The Design Engineering intern is a training and career path for future direct hire positions. Engineering Universities provide generic theory. Most Automotive Suppliers must then train new graduates. By hiring interns early we will be able to specifically train them in Aluminum Extrusion profile design and promote the Constellium brand to their fellow classmates. The Engineering interns would report to the Sr. Technical Manager however would be mentored by the Sr. Design Engineers. This would give leadership opportunities to the Engineers. Each Intern would be given an individual project to complete within the semester and/or if there are other Interns a group project. The project would be one of the following: document/update existing processes or create training documentation to support ISO certification or in the area of continuous improvement. Their day-to-day responsibilities would be to support the Engineers with CAD.
