Candidates must be eligible for or hold South Carolina CTE Work-Based Certification in Drone Technologies or a related fieldpossessrelevant industry experience and preferred UAS credentials and meet all SCDE certification and background requirements.

Job Description:

1. The CTE Drone Technologies Instructor provides standards-aligned classroom and hands-on instruction for grades 912 in unmannedaircraftsystems (UAS) including drone operations flight planning safety regulations data collection and emerging applicationsin accordance withSouth Carolina Department of Education requirements.

2. The instructor prepares students for FAA Part 107 and other industry-recognized credentialsmaintainsa safe and industry-standard learning environment assesses and supports student learning integrates academic and technical skills and collaborates with industry partners families and school leadership to support work-based learning and student success.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 190 Days
