The responsibilities of a NPI Engineer in this role include:

  • Provide technical and sustaining engineering support in a manufacturing area.
  • Recommend and implement equipment and process modifications to improve production efficiencies manufacturing techniques and production yields for existing products.
  • Develop and conduct statistical analysis such as Design of Experiments (DOE) and Statistical Process Control (SPC) targeting physical cause of failure for yield loss and improving quality.
  • Interact with product design and development personnel to ensure that processes and designs are compatible.
  • Interact with customers in support of project status key milestones and deliveries. This includes samples deliveries special work requests wafer lot starts and reliability tests
  • Perform product reliability and characterization of integrated circuits to ensure they meet the product requirement specifications and manufacturing requirements


Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant Engineering background
  • Minimum 3 years of process engineering experiences or relevant experiences working in a semiconductor manufacturing environment with SMT experiences

  • Demonstrated strong analytical critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
  • Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
  • Ability to work effectively in an interrupt-driven fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to operate independently within program guidelines
  • Proficiency in risk planning and reaction to project problems in order to stay on schedule
  • Team player with strong listening skills that can take inputs and make informed decisions
  • Concise and clear written and oral communication skills strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage cross functional cross disciplined team members
  • Effective influence management without direct authority
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate throughout the organization including the executive staff.
