The responsibilities of a NPI Engineer in this role include:

Provide technical and sustaining engineering support in a manufacturing area.
Recommend and implement equipment and process modifications to improve production efficiencies manufacturing techniques and production yields for existing products.
Develop and conduct statistical analysis such as Design of Experiments (DOE) and Statistical Process Control (SPC) targeting physical cause of failure for yield loss and improving quality.
Interact with product design and development personnel to ensure that processes and designs are compatible.
Interact with customers in support of project status key milestones and deliveries. This includes samples deliveries special work requests wafer lot starts and reliability tests
Perform product reliability and characterization of integrated circuits to ensure they meet the product requirement specifications and manufacturing requirements

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant Engineering background
Minimum 3 years of process engineering experiences or relevant experiences working in a semiconductor manufacturing environment with SMT experiences

Preferred qualifications:

Demonstrated strong analytical critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
Ability to work effectively in an interrupt-driven fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
Ability to operate independently within program guidelines
Proficiency in risk planning and reaction to project problems in order to stay on schedule
Team player with strong listening skills that can take inputs and make informed decisions
Concise and clear written and oral communication skills strong interpersonal skills
Ability to manage cross functional cross disciplined team members
Effective influence management without direct authority
Demonstrated ability to communicate throughout the organization including the executive staff.
