The Analog Field Applications Engineer (AFAE) is responsible for partnering with Sales and providing Analog related technical expertise throughout the sales cycle. The AFAE proactively identifies current products and/or creative solutions to solve existing customer projects and create new functionality/ this role the AFAE uses in-depth product knowledge to provide technical expertise to gain credibility and develop relationships with customers.

This role is responsible for application support for battery automotive products used in AUTO and Energy Storage System (ESS). Primary responsibilities include:

• Collaborate with sales to grow TIs analog revenue with a targeted customer
• Work with the sales team to prioritize and target key and emerging accounts for TI growth opportunities

Minimum requirements:

• Bachelors in electrical engineering control science or related degree
• A minimum of 2 years experience in Battery Management Systems. Experience in automotive R&D is a plus.
• Understanding of analog products with focus on power management and battery management
• Experience with design analysis and debug of BMS AFE peripheral circuit.
• Knowledge of EMI/EMC standards
• Knowledge of Functional Safety or ISO26262 is a plus.
• Ability to run simulations and create/ review schematics and board layout
• Ability to help customers debug device and system level issues
• Fluent in English
