Job Summary
A prestigious and well-established boarding school in Yorkshire is seeking an experienced and strategic Estates Manager to lead the management and development of its extensive campus with an immediate start available.
This is a senior leadership support role responsible for ensuring the estate operates safely efficiently and to the highest possible standard across academic buildings boarding houses sports facilities and grounds.
The Role
As Estates Manager you will take full responsibility for the operational and strategic oversight of the schools estate.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading and managing the estates and facilities team
Overseeing planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs
Ensuring full compliance with health & safety fire safety and statutory regulations
Managing capital projects and long-term estates development plans
Supervising contractors and monitoring quality of works
Managing estates budgets procurement and cost control
Supporting the smooth 24/7 operation of boarding facilities
You will work closely with the Head and Senior Leadership Team to align estates planning with the schools strategic vision.

The Ideal Candidate
Proven experience as an Estates Manager Facilities Manager or senior premises professional
Strong knowledge of compliance health & safety and statutory requirements
Experience managing large multi-building sites
Budget management and contractor oversight experience
Excellent organisational leadership and communication skills
A proactive and solutions-focused approach
