A prestigious boarding school in Dorset is seeking an experienced Estates Manager to lead the strategic and operational management of its extensive estate.
This is a senior leadership position responsible for ensuring the smooth safe and efficient running of a large and diverse campus including academic buildings boarding houses sports facilities and grounds.
About the Role
The Estates Manager will take full responsibility for the maintenance compliance development and long-term planning of the school estate. You will oversee site operations manage contractors and estates staff and ensure the highest standards of health & safety and statutory compliance are maintained.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading the estates and facilities team across a multi-building boarding campus
Managing planned preventative maintenance and capital development projects
Ensuring full compliance with health & safety fire safety and regulatory requirements
Overseeing budgets procurement and contractor performance
Supporting the Senior Leadership Team with strategic estates planning
This role requires a visible and proactive presence across the school site ensuring boarding facilities operate safely and effectively 24/7.

The Ideal Candidate
Proven experience as an Estates Manager Facilities Manager or similar senior premises role
Strong understanding of compliance health & safety and statutory regulations
Experience managing large sites and capital projects
Budget management and contractor oversight experience
Excellent leadership organisational and communication skills
