Job Summary

Position Overview:

JMA Resources is seeking an ETL Developer with over four years of experience designing developing and supporting enterprise data integration solutions within secure federal environments. Proven expertise in data warehousing dimensional modeling and building scalable ETL workflows using tools such as Informatica PowerCenter with strong experience in Oracle Netezza and SQL optimization. Skilled in troubleshooting complex data integration issues resolving production incidents under tight deadlines and ensuring adherence to SDLC and change management processes. Experienced in supporting Financial and Supply Chain analytics integrating data from Java J2EE -based systems and working within AWS GovCloud and Linux-based environments. Recognized for delivering secure high-performance data solutions aligned with DoD STIG requirements while collaborating effectively across business and technology teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing enhancing and supporting the Financial and Supply Chain analysis process.
  • Identify and investigate data quality issues.
  • Work with Business and Technology teammates to determine requirements strategy and delivery of information.
  • Follow the SDLC (software development life cycle) process to promote changes in Production for all technology users and understand the ETL & reporting needs of the Financial and Supply Chain Community.
  • Assist with creating reusable components for the ETL framework.
  • Assist with the management of ETL scalability and system management.
  • Take ownership of issues to reach resolutions to prevent recurrences.
  • Assist with ETL design development and performance tuning.
  • Provide production support for data warehouse jobs.
  • Design and architect ETL solutions as part of a cross-functional team using Informatica.
  • Design data models describing data data relationships data semantics and data constraints including a set of basic operations for manipulating data in the database using Oracle and Netezza.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues under tight deadlines.
  • Follow the change management process to resolve application defects or to implement development enhancements.
  • Assist with ETL standards and design for future supportability and ease of enhancement.
  • Provide technical support to meet application service level agreements.
  • Carry out other related duties as assigned demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in meeting evolving client and company needs.


Clearance Level:

  • Current or ability to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Clearance is required.Note: To obtain a security clearance you must be a U.S. citizen and meet the 13 adjudicative guidelines.


Required Qualifications:

    • Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts dimensional modeling and ETL design patterns.
    • Experience developing and maintaining ETL workflows using enterprise data integration tools such as Informatica PowerCenter or similar platforms.
    • Experience working with data replication and ingestion tools such as Qlik Replicate (formerly Attunity)
    • Working knowledge of relational database platforms and SQL optimization techniques.
    • Experience integrating data from enterprise applications built on Java J2EE frameworks.
    • Familiarity with web services and data exchange mechanisms including SOAP-based services.
    • Experience supporting or integrating with business intelligence platforms such as SAP BusinessObjects Tableau Server Tableau Desktop or Cognos.
    • Working knowledge of Linux-based environments.
    • Experience supporting data solutions in cloud environments preferably AWS GovCloud including use of services such as S3.
    • Understanding of secure coding practices and data protection requirements in regulated environments including DoD STIG considerations.
    • Experience with version control tools such as Git and build automation tools such as Maven.
    • Ability to analyze complex data issues troubleshoot integration failures and resolve performance bottlenecks.
    • Strong documentation communication and facilitation skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in environments with evolving requirements.
    • Must have a current CompTIA Security CE certification or one of the following:
      • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
      • CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CYSA)
      • GIAC Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP)
      • GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC)
      • Certified Network Defender (CND)
    • Must have a current Amazon Web Services Windows Oracle and Unix or Linux certification.



    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or related field.

    • Position: Full Time
    • Work Arrangement: Remote
    • Travel Requirements: May be required.
    • Location Preference: Prefer candidates who reside in the Eastern Time Zone or who can work Eastern Time Zone business hours to ensure alignment with client schedules and team collaboration
    • Work Hours: Standard 40-hour workweek (8 hours/day). Some flexibility may be available to accommodate client needs and personal responsibilities.
