Production Specialists process wafers of different technologies and support the manufacturing operations at either a wafer fab or assembly test site.
Wafer fabs:
In wafer fabs Production Specialists operate various equipment in performing functions such as aligning masking etch and diffusion.
Assembly test sites:
Production Specialists perform specific AT semiconductor manufacturing functions in the production of semiconductor devices. They operate various equipment in performing functions such as test tap and reel or mark and pack. This role is responsible for setting up and operating a variety of manual automatic or semi-automatic machines used in the production of the companys product.
Qualifications
Minimum requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to follow work directions
Preferred qualifications:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to quickly ramp on new tools and processes
- Demonstrated interpersonal analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
- Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
- Strong time management skills
