Multiple PositionsMultiple LocationsAbout the RoleThe program provides Local Area Coordination (LAC) services to assist participants in developing or reviewing support plans as well as extensive work in the community to promote inclusion and opportunities for people to access mainstream are looking for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people who want to make a difference in our Local Area Coordination (LAC) program. You will be committed to improving the lives of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people with disability and will work directly with participants and to facilitate choice and control over the services they a First Nations LAC (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) you will have a strong understanding of First Nations communities and the diversity that is within them engaging with communities to strengthen connections between people with disability and their community. A key focus for this position is community capacity building activities that enable communities to be more responsive to the needs of people with is an identified position in accordance with Section 14 (d) of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977. Applicants for this position must be of Aboriginal descent through parentage identification as being Aboriginal and being accepted in the community as such.
